Free online dating websites, including Plenty of Fish

Plenty of Fish is one of the most well known online dating websites, and it has been around for a while - having launched more than 13 years ago.

It has more than 3million users, and is completely free to use.

The site's top feature is that it offers a chemistry test, which matches users with other online daters that meet each other's "emotional needs."

UK Cupid - not to be mistaken for OK Cupid - offers a free basic membership option, so users can find love for free.

It has been around for more than 10 years, and claims to have matched more than 2,000 happy couples.

Free apps, including Tinder and Bumble

Tinder is perhaps the most popular dating app, with users drawn to the simplicity of swiping right to match with other singletons.

While it has a reputation for being an app that's more focused on hook ups than finding love, the fact that is has a staggering 50million active users means you're more than likely to find yourself a potential partner. It's also free to use.

Bumble is a more female friendly dating app, because it only allows women to start a conversation with their matches, cutting down on the amount of unwanted messages they receive from men.

Men aren't allowed to approach a woman first, so it's up to the females to make the first move. It's completely free to download and use.

Nevertheless, it has millions of users and pairs people up according to whether they want a relationship, one-night stand or casual dating.

The online dating site has millions of users and offers a compatibility matching system which helps members find people they'll match with emotionally.

While two years is a long time for membership, you can get money back on one-month, three-month and six-month subscriptions as well.

Topcashback.co.uk is also offering £57.75 cashback when you purchase a 12 month membership with elitesingles.co.uk.

Elite Singles has millions of users and caters only to those looking for a serious relationship.

It charges £49.95 per month for a three month subscription, or £37.95 for a six-month subscription.

How do I sign up and get cashback?

IT’S easy to earn casback on dating. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign up to a cashback website. Topcashback.co.uk and Quidco are two of the best. Click the ‘Join now’ option and enter your email address and password
  2. Make sure you click the free / basic membership option, otherwise you’ll be charged.
  3. Find a dating website that you want to sign up to. Instead of going directly to the site, you can access it through a link in the cashback website, and purchases made will be registered with the cashback site.
  4. The casback earned will be added to your online account. Once it’s there, you can withdraw it and transfer it to your bank account, or you can turn your cashback into a gift voucher or code to spend at a retailer.
  5. Bear in mind that it can take a few days or even weeks for the cashback to appear in your account on the website.
